Water Pressure Repair in Atlanta
One Team Traces Pressure Problems Across Connected Home Systems
Weak or inconsistent flow can disrupt showers, appliances, and fixtures throughout your home. A problem at one faucet may be simple, but whole-home pressure loss can point to the incoming supply, a hidden leak, or a connected system such as the water heater.
Because we provide plumbing, electrical, heating, and cooling services under one roof, we can investigate those connections without sending you to another contractor. We trace the problem beyond the nearest faucet and recommend repairs based on what we find.
We’ve served Atlanta-area homeowners since 2002. Our carefully screened, highly trained technicians follow current industry practices and stay informed about emerging technologies for diagnosing pressure changes and restricted flow.

What Causes Weak or Unstable Water Flow?
The location of the pressure loss offers an important clue. Weak flow at one faucet or shower usually points to a clogged fixture or local obstruction. When several fixtures are affected, the problem may be closer to the home’s incoming water supply.
Common sources of low or unstable pressure include:
- Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) failure: A Pressure Reducing Valve regulates incoming municipal pressure before water reaches the household plumbing. If the PRV fails, pressure may fall suddenly, fluctuate, or rise to a level that strains pipes and fixtures.
- Galvanized pipe corrosion: Older galvanized steel supply lines can corrode from the inside. As the passage narrows, it restricts flow even when the exterior of the pipe appears intact.
- Mineral and sediment buildup: Deposits can collect in pipes, faucet aerators, showerheads, and water heaters. A clogged aerator may affect a single fixture, while buildup in supply piping or a water heater can cause broader problems.
- Hidden water line leaks: A leak in the main line or another concealed pipe can cause a gradual, whole-home pressure drop. An unexplained increase in water use or the water bill may provide another reason to investigate.
- Municipal pressure changes: Peak demand, hydrant flushing, and nearby utility work can temporarily alter the public supply and resemble a plumbing problem inside the home.
Standard residential pressure typically falls between 40 and 60 PSI. PSI means pounds per square inch, the unit used to measure the force of water moving through the plumbing. A reading outside that range confirms a pressure concern, but it doesn’t reveal the cause by itself. The location, timing, and extent of the change provide the context needed for an accurate diagnosis.
How We Find the Source Before Recommending a Repair
We start by testing flow and pressure at multiple fixtures to determine whether the issue affects one fixture, one area, or the entire house. This comparison helps distinguish a clogged showerhead or aerator from a restriction farther upstream.
For a system-wide problem, we check the incoming pressure, PRV, and main shutoff valve. We also look for signs of concealed leaks, review the pipe material, and consider whether corrosion or sediment is restricting the supply. If hot water flow is weaker than cold water flow, we can evaluate whether water heater sediment buildup is contributing to the problem.
We also consider when the pressure changes occur. Temporary fluctuations that coincide with neighborhood utility work or periods of high demand may originate from the municipal supply rather than the home’s plumbing.
Once we identify the likely source, we explain our findings, the available service options, and the pricing before work moves forward. The appropriate fix may involve clearing a fixture obstruction, servicing or replacing a failed PRV, repairing a leak, or addressing deteriorated supply piping.

"Highly Recommend!"
I called assured comfort because my outdoor ac unit froze over on the pipes. I knew after that I had a leak in the coil because it happened at my old house too. When they came out they detected many leaks in the coil. And our system was from the 90s.
